Soooo who got stuck being designated driver this LAN ?

Was my turn this time, first time actually. Just wanted to ask, if you have a bit of ground to cover til you get to your destination, and you leave say... very very very late, what get's you through the drive?

I drank heaps of Dr Pepper and those new energy shots they had.. .did the job

I didnt have an caffine and man was it hard getting back to castlemaine (about 90mins+ ). Lucky to have made it actually.

Slept for 7 hours.

Seriously, actually sleeping (and hence missing the tf2 comp) made my whole experience a lot better. Much less grumpy on Sunday and could stay awake for the drive home.

Which leads me to suggest...

Could we move the tf2 comp forward or back and have a dedicated 5 hours from say 2am where nothing is scheduled? Run some of the smaller comps till 2am, and use the freed up time to do tf2. I know timetabling is NP-hard though, so it's not easy to change :3

IM always the designated driver because Mr Lolsauce is too faggoty to have a license. I get up to mayhem on Sat night don;t sleep and enjoy myself like i would if i wernt designated driver, i help pack up on Sunday which wakes me up a little and i have a energy drink before heading off. BY the time i head off seccond wind has usually struck

Sleeping for a bit always makes the LAN better, and attempting a long drive after no sleep is just stupid and the equivalent of drink driving. I used to get no sleep during the LANs in my earlier days, and felt like crap all sunday. Now i get a few hours and sunday is much better

3 hours sleep, saw me through felt great after a couple of hours in the afternoon on Sunday, I also stayed away from energy drinks, they make me feel a lot worse.

Thur:
4pm -> 5pm Pick up stuff from Tank
5pm -> 7:30pm pick up stuff from Zardoz

Fri:
9am Pick up from Zardoz
10am Unload run 1 at event
1:30pm Unload run 2 at event
2:30pm Unload run 3 at event
4:00pm Pick up Zardoz

Sun:
5:30pm -> Back to storage
6:30pm -> Drop deadman & gear home
8:00pm -> drop my gear at home and shower/sleep.
