Prizes and competitions!Registrations are OPEN! We have also decided to increase the prize money for some of our popular competitions. Details are still being finalised however we have confirmed that we will be running the following competitions:

Hi,
I've added COD4 to the list however we're not sure what the prizes for the competition will be at this stage.
TF2 seems to require large (8 or so) team sizes which don't seem to be very popular however we will be running some organised games of TF2. Not sure whether we'll run a TF2 comp at this stage.

COD4 is a better game but im pretty sure there are way more CS clans/players at these lans. TF2 works fine in teams of 6, thats what we did last time and we had about 5 or 6 teams
yeh... but im shit at CS

should be some good competition tho im looking forward to it

i'll probably get a few nc games going as well, i'll see if i can get it put up on the EMS to let ppl know that they will be held, but its may be that they will be spur of the moment games.

Do the comps always run with the latest version? wanting to install everything before the lan - so wanting to know what patches to use.

It specifically states that Flatout 2 will be on Saturday. Can we get a rough time on that? (like do I have to be there on the opening hours of the event?)
And is it going to be a race or a destruction derby? (racing is more appropriate for a racing wheel, so here's hoping)
Thanks
http://respawn.com.au/forums/index.php?sho...&#entry2051Time is TBD but it wont be 10am saturday, most likely in the evening
In terms of version, we will not be using a patched version of flatout 2, for the following reasons
Most people use it unpatched (when in doubt go with the majority)
there is no severe issue with the unpatched version
If, i find that most people have patched up their flatout 2 installs for V7, this may change, but rest assured ill figure out an easy way to roll out the patches
Hope to see you all saturday

Yeah I'm over the destruction derby it needs to be a class moderated race.
