Thanks, GLH.

First up tonight, Seagate have screwed themselves over by accidentally bricking lots of their highly acclaimed 7200.11 drives. Sources say it was a firmware bug and all data is recoverable, how ever seagate did themselves no favours by censoring everyone on their forums and withholding any and all information about the problem until it made headlines on tech sites across the world. New firmware updates have been released for the drives to fix the problem, but not before an intermediate update which screwed things up even more. The drives are now apparently working again, and should be fine for consumption by people over 3 yeras old.

Moving along, it looks like the PS4 is in the pipelines, with Intel already getting their GPU's in to the beast, with AMD ATi powering both the Xbox 3 and Wii2, leaving nVidia high and dry without a console to stand on (good thing they have a majority market share, eh?).

Intel's moving down to a 32nm fabrication process already, having only been popping out the 45nm chips for not too long. Analysts say this could be a risky move given the current economy, and being a reported $7 billion gamble, we're hoping it pays off.

Here's Tom with the weather.
