Here at Respawn, we want to get you involved. At this coming event, in addition to some of our usual FunComps, we’re introducing PeerGames.
PeerGames is a new concept where we get yourself and the players around you (your peers!) to run a small competition in the spirit of a FunComp. We let you pick the game, the rules and the win conditions (subject to approval, of course). The aim is to have fun, and we want to let you, the players, pick the best ways to achieve this.
There’s a lot less work involved than it may seem - it’s actually quite a trivial task! If you’re interested in making Respawn what you want it to be, head on over to the forums for more information!
(Also, confirmations for Respawn v20 have opened. You should confirm your attendance through the 'event' link on the right!) |

GIGABYTE E-Sport Championships

Respawn is proud to announce that the Call of Duty: BlackOps GIGABYTE E-Sports Championships 2011 will be featured at the upcoming Respawn LAN v20 on April 16th. The competition has almost $5000 worth of prizes, so it will certainly attract some of the fiercest competition ever seen by the walls of Union Hall.
The competition will be held during the Saturday of Respawn along side regular Respawn programming. The Melbourne qualifiers for the event are to be held on the 2nd of April and a yet to be finalised venue. Interested teams should see the GESC website for futher information. |

Due to the influx of spam bots (up to hundreds per day), we've re-enabled manual activation of user accounts.
If you register and your account is not activated within 24 hours, please either contact any of us or jump in to our IRC channel and ask for help.
And please, if you know anyone who runs spam bots of this sort, kindly paint their car pink for us.

Announcing Respawn LAN v20 BLOCK PARTY....
Once again, we're back and with more awesome than before! 420 players, lightning fast datacentre-class network, the most stable power you'll ever see at a LAN and of course, awesomeness of awesome.
Registrations are opening at 9PM tonight! Here's a secret - pre-pay and relax.

We've all fully recovered from last weekend's event. It was an absolute pleasure to have Team Immunity along for the Gigabyte eSports tournament and it was great to see some interstate and international teams along for the competition.
We'd like to thank our sponsors for putting in some amazing contributions - Anyware, Fractal Designs, Gigabyte, Thermaltake, Warcom, Conexus, Billion and Draytek for our giveaways. A shout to Cisco Systems for some of the Nexus kit which gives us the fastest LAN event in the country.
