Hey guys!
Confirmations for Respawn v18 are now open, so if you’ve registered and not prepaid, you’d better get on the website and confirm your attendance so you don’t miss out on a seat!
For those less familiar with our system, early next week we’ll “bump” the list of players. Prepaid players should ignore this paragraph entirely. This is where we move all of the confirmed people ahead of the unconfirmed people. Once this has happened, if you’re in the clearly in list (ie, the top 425 players, above the players marked as ‘waiting’ on the list), you’re good to go - rock up before 2PM on Saturday, and you have a seat!
If you’re in the waiting list, you can rock up after 2PM, pending available seats. We keep a live tally of players and a contact phone number on the website so you can check before coming.
If you’re looking for something exciting to do on the night before Respawn, our friends at Atomic MPC are hosting Atomic Unlocked, an evening of talking to industry reps and beer! Check out the details at http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/unlocked/
Speaking of Atomic Unlocked, Intel are sponsoring Atomic Unlocked. Why bother mentioning this, you ask? Intel are sponsoring us too! Thanks to Intel, Team Immunity are going to be running a few competitions - a chance to test your skills against professionals! There’s some great Steel Series gear for prizes too!
Victoria University will be on show too, with a free short course on offer, details on how to win it at the event!

Victoria University short course up for grabs!
Victoria University's School of Creative Industries have come onboard with Respawn LAN to offer one lucky Respawn LAN 18 attendee a short course to the value of $450! Now has never been a better time to re-skill and learn how to write that game, develop that iPhone app or produce that video you've been wanting to!
The winner can select from any of the scheduled short courses for 2010/2011 up to the value of $450. The winner can pay the difference if they wish to select a short course priced over this amount. All short courses are taught by experienced teachers from VU who are experts in their field.
Be aware that short courses are subject to sufficient enrolment numbers, due to this at times the delivery schedule can vary.
If something there interests you, be sure to check out their Creative Industries open day this weekend where you can see some of the stuff they get up to. All courses are run by experienced teachers who are experts in their field.

Danog won a TT eSports Black gaming mouse , thanks to Tt eSports and priorax gets $15 worth of snacks and drinks at the event.
We feel this went off without a hitch however we'd like to know what competitions you'd like to see us run online between events. Let us know via the comments. |

Respawn is proud to announce the Respawn Online Tron Tournament, to be held this Thursday at 7PM!
We have prizes, too! Burning our hands is a TT eSports gaming mouse for first place and $15 Respawn Food Store Credit for second place.
On Thursday evening, a thread will be posted for competition registrations and the competition will be coordinated through the forums - discuss and get more information over here! |
